Living a Life of Worship

Worship is one of those words that many people think is just a “churchy” word. But the truth is that we all worship. Everyone has something they focus on, respond to and celebrate.

As a new believer, it is vital that you continue to worship. As you step into your new life, remain focused on what Christ has done for you, respond to Him with obedience and celebrate Him daily with your words and actions.

A Journey of Faith

If you do not currently have a home church we encourage you to consider IEC. Perhaps you have not yet accepted God’s wonderful gift of forgiveness, peace and eternal life. You are not yet a part of His family. At some point during the service an opportunity will be given you to make that decision. It is the greatest and most important decision you will ever make in this life because it has eternal consequences. We encourage you to contact us by phone, email or simply speak to the pastor after the service. He would be happy to help you in your journey of faith.

Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!
– Psalm 150:6

What is Prayer? How do I Pray?

Simply put, prayer is a personal conversation with God. It does not have to include “thee’s” and “thou’s”, but rather a true and intimate conversation with God.

Follow the words of Jesus

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:6-8)

Keep it simple

God knows your heart; talk to Him as if He were physically sitting in the room with you. We encourage you to use the same language patterns as you do in your everyday language. Do not feel like you have to use extravagant or repetitive verbiage in your prayers.
