Core Values

These are the tenets that matter most to our IEC Family

The Word

The Bible is the foundation of our faith and the master key of life.

Prayer

God desires His people to depend on Him. The ministries of the church will rely on prayer in all endeavours.

Family

As the Body of Christ, IEC is a place where everyone is accepted and loved unconditionally.

The Lost

It is our practice to connect all people to Christ through evangelism, world missions and life groups.

The Bible

The Bible is the Word of God for everyone. It was composed by human writers while being guided supernaturally by the Holy Spirit. As it was inspired by God, the Bible is completely truthful and free from any errors, making it highly applicable to our day-to-day lives.

The Father

There is no doubt that God is remarkable. He possesses immense power, knowledge and is omnipresent. He is steadfast and worthy of our complete trust. Above all, He is holy. God is the source of our being and sustains us in every moment. He is good, and we view Him as our loving Father. He is kind, merciful and always keeps His promises to His people.

The Son

Jesus Christ is fully human and fully God. He serves as the sole means for reconciling humanity, who were once God’s adversaries. Jesus led a flawless life, making Him a substitute for us in meeting God’s requirement for perfection. By triumphing over death in His resurrection, we are given the opportunity to live.

The Holy Spirit

The presence of the Holy Spirit assures us of our connection with Christ. He is our guide to all truth and magnifies Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts individuals of their transgressions, God’s righteousness and impending judgment. He offers us comfort, and spiritual gifts and aids in our transformation to become more like Christ.

The Virgin Birth

Our beliefs include the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His absolute divinity, perfect humanity, flawless life, everlasting efficacy of His redemptive death, physical resurrection, elevation to the Father’s right hand and His imminent return.

Holy Living

We hold the belief in living a holy life, acknowledging the present-day existence of the Holy Spirit’s baptism, the gifts bestowed by the Holy Spirit and God’s power to heal. Our faith lies in the Lordship of Christ over the church and the importance of adhering to Biblical ordinances.

Eternity

Humans were created to live forever. Their eternal fate is determined by their relationship with God, either separated from Him due to sin or united with Him through forgiveness and salvation. A life of eternal separation from God is what is referred to as Hell, while eternal life involves being in union with Him. Both Heaven and Hell are realms of everlasting existence.

Man

Humans are created in the image of God and are therefore considered to be the most important aspect of His creation. The initial purpose of mankind’s creation was to share a relationship with God, but this connection was severed due to disobedience. Consequently, humans cannot establish a proper relationship with God on their own. Every individual’s personality is distinctive, they possess inherent worth and dignity and deserve respect and love from Christians.

Salvation

The sole means of attaining salvation, which entails the absolution of sins, is via the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross. By putting their trust in Christ’s death and resurrection as a satisfactory reparation for their sins, individuals can experience salvation. It’s important to note that salvation is a divine gift that cannot be earned through personal endeavours.

The Church

Our Church is a group of individuals who have been baptized and share a common faith in Jesus Christ. We strongly believe in following the New Testament principles in organizing and operating the local church. For us, the Church is the foundation of God’s Kingdom. We are dedicated to adhering to the teachings of Christ and fulfilling His commands, and our mission is to spread the gospel to the world. We work together with love and unity, with the ultimate goal of bringing glory to Christ.

Corporate Worship

We value both personal and group worship, and believe that all forms of praise mentioned in the Bible should be practiced in the Church today. Baptism: Baptism in water is a symbolic demonstration of openly declaring one’s faith in Jesus

Christ

Although it is commanded by God, it is not a prerequisite for salvation. We perform full-immersion baptism, which represents the death and resurrection journey of Jesus on our behalf. Our minimum age requirement for baptism is 12 years old.

Tithing

At the core of financing the work of God is our belief in tithing. Our offerings are a heartfelt expression of our love for the Lord Jesus Christ and His church.
